Each piece in a print edition by Seymour starts hand drawn in pencil. The line work is then filled in with a black fine tipped ink pen. The black and white image is transferred to the computer for colouring, shading and illumination.
The final piece is printed in the United Kingdom in limited editions on specially chosen high quality archival art stock paper and is finished by hand with a debossed signature Seymour logo. Every piece comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Seymours sculpture pieces are created using a mix of materials including polymer clays air drying clays and as well as vaious casting materials such as resins and plasters. The pieces are usually hand painted and lacquered after curing.
The casing, domes or frames are mainly reworked vintage one-offs or in some cases made completely from scratch.
